The nuclear receptors (NRs) form a super family of a DNA-binding transcription factors which directly bind and respond to various physiologically active substances, such as steroid hormones and fat-soluble vitamin groups, and regulate target gene-expressions. In our research project, (1) we unravel the relationship between NRs and abnormal expression of genomic information in various disease. Based on this, we are aiming (2) to find a novel NR ligand that can control health and disease and (3) a novel disease biomarker to predict the sensitivity of the therapeutic drugs or prognosis. By achieving this, we expected to contribute to drug discovery and highly accurate diagnosis. |
